On December 14, 2023 the Park City Council unanimously approved the public-private partnership, granting us the road vacation needed for the Snow Park Village project. I want to thank Mayor Worel, Council Member Dickey, the rest of council and the city staff that have spent countless hours working with us on this partnership.
I am proud of the agreement, but more importantly I am proud of how we did it: by listening to our many stakeholders, staff members, constituents and community members, finding common ground and developing an approach that binds us together for many years to come. This is an important first step for which we are grateful.
We have a lot more work to do with the community as we now proceed through the Planning Commission process. Starting in January, we will be hosting the first in a series of open house workshops at Snow Park Lodge. The open houses will help us to ensure that the final plan recognizes and balances our neighbors’ concerns and explores collaborative solutions that enhance the Deer Valley experience, are sustainable, and support the needs of the community.
I look forward to the journey ahead working with the city staff and the planning commission to evolve Deer Valley, and Park City, into something even greater.
